Get to know Spy-IL5
Live audio.
A direct radio connection.
Spy-IL5 combines an electret microphone and a UHF transmitter in one compact device. The microphone picks up nearby sound and sends it by radio to a compatible receiver tuned to the same frequency.
There is no internal recording, Wi-Fi connection, SIM card or phone app. Listening takes place through the separate receiver while the transmitter is powered.
The transmitter runs on one replaceable CR1220 3 V lithium battery, included in the package. Its flexible antenna is 16 cm long. The specified working time is 5–10 hours; actual battery life depends on conditions.

Published maximum range: up to 300 m (about 984 ft) in open, line-of-sight conditions. Walls, placement, interference and the receiver affect actual performance. The illustration explains the principle and is not a promise of that range through buildings.

A few clear answers.
Does Spy-IL5 record audio?
No. It sends live sound by radio. It has no internal recording storage.
Is a receiver included?
No. This package contains the transmitter and one CR1220 battery. A compatible UHF receiver is purchased separately. Ask us to check compatibility before choosing a receiver.
How do I find the correct frequency?
Read the operating frequency on the supplied ZIP bag. Tune your compatible receiver to that value. The example photographs and video show individual units, so their frequency may differ from yours.
Does it need an app, Wi-Fi or a SIM card?
No. Spy-IL5 uses a direct UHF radio link to a separate receiver.
Is the battery rechargeable?
No. It uses a replaceable CR1220 3 V lithium battery. One battery is supplied. Do not attempt to recharge it.
How long does the battery last?
The published working time is 5–10 hours. Battery condition and operating conditions can affect the actual time.
Will it reach 300 metres through walls?
The stated maximum refers to open line of sight. Walls, interference, placement and receiver choice can reduce the range. We do not guarantee a 300 m connection through buildings.
Is mounting tape included?
No. Double-sided mounting tape is not included in the current package.
How is the order packed?
The transmitter and battery are placed in a clear plastic box, enclosed in a frequency-labelled ZIP bag and sent in a padded bubble mailer.
