Spy-IL1 records nearby sound into internal memory. It works independently of the FM and UHF receivers used with our radio transmitters.
The rechargeable design combines a sensitive microphone, one control button and a status LED. Its 18 × 30 × 7 mm housing weighs approximately 20 g.
Voice activation compresses silent pauses while retaining time information. Longer sessions are divided into 5-hour files to make them easier to copy and review.

Does Spy-IL1 transmit sound to a radio?
No. It records to internal memory. You review the recordings through headphones or a computer.
Does the built-in battery record for 96 hours continuously?
No. Its specified continuous time is up to 26 hours. Up to 96 hours on the built-in battery applies to voice activation. The external-power configuration supports up to 96 hours continuously.
What does voice activation do?
VAS compresses silent pauses to save memory while preserving time information.
Is an external battery included?
No. The power bank shown in the demonstration photographs is an optional external power source.
Why are there several recording files?
Long sessions are automatically split into 5-hour files for easier review and transfer.
How far away can the microphone pick up sound?
The published indoor pickup distance is up to 20 m, about 66 ft. Room acoustics, background noise and voice level affect the result.
Can I request more recording capacity?
